Join us for a fascinating exploration of Brookland Park Boulevard, one of Richmond’s most vibrant and evolving neighborhoods. 

This special event begins with a short walking guided tour co-led by Bill Martin, Director of The Valentine Museum, and Cory Weiner, President of CW Performance Group LLC. Together, they will share stories from the area’s rich history and highlight the recent wave of revitalization that’s transforming this historic retail corridor.

Following the tour, we will gather at the Fuzzy Cactus to hear from Acting Director of Richmond’s Economic Development, Matthew Welch and other panelists.

 The conversation will focus on the economic momentum building in Brookland Park, the vision for its future, and the programs available to support local businesses and residents. 

Following the discussion, stay and enjoy a casual happy hour with fellow attendees, continuing the conversation and connections in a relaxed, community-centered setting.

This is a unique opportunity to experience the past, present, and future of Brookland Park Boulevard—guided by those helping to shape it.

Location:

The walking tour will begin at the Richmond Community High School parking lot located at 201 E Brookland Park Blvd. Richmond, VA.
 
The tour will conclude at the Fuzzy Cactus, located at 221 W Brookland Park Blvd, Richmond, VA 23222.
 
NOTE: If you are joining us for the tour, please remember to bring headphones or earbuds to enhance your experience.
 
This is a can't-miss opportunity to connect with the community and see firsthand how collaboration and investment are shaping the future of Brookland Park Boulevard.
 
*Complimentary parking will be available at Richmond Community High School. Please note that the school is not responsible for vehicles parked on the property. Street parking is also available.
